A sermon quoting Madonna and fifth rate rock music: that"s the "Rock" church of St. Louis. No wonder America is fast going downhill spiritually. Alan Franklin comments.
If you want to see what is wrong with America"s churches, it is encapsulated in what passes for ministry in the Rock Church of St. Louis. We attended the first day that "Rock" took over what was formerly the First Baptist Church of Lemay, a suburb of St. Louis. We"d attended on previous visits and Pat grew up in the neighborhood. It is now Lemay Campus of the Rock Church " and is exactly what the title should forewarn you of: loud, inconsequential, with much focus on the preacher and a daisy light message. Similar takeovers have occurred across America with disastrous results " unless you enjoy near zero Bible teaching, emotionalism and appalling, loud, discordant "music." Honoring to the Lord? Please, grow up!

The Church of England is trying to recruit pagans and spiritual believers as part of a drive to retain congregation numbers.

The growth of atheist churches continues across the globe. With the London-based Sunday Assembly, a non-theistic congregation, coming to New York City later this month, it"s only one of the non-believing congregations operating — or planning to, anyway — on U.S. soil.
I have much appreciation and thanks for the service your site provides to the Church at large.
I think your article opposing cessationist doctrine entitled "When That Which is Perfect has Come"Â is excellent. In your archives you also have a repost of a Sandy Simpson article regarding NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) entitled "A Case of Piocchio's Nose". While I am not a NAR adherent and believe the article to be sound, there's one scripture passage not mentioned in the article that I am hoping you are willing to address. You may refer to it in other articles, but it would be helpful if Moriel and/or Sandy Simpson would speak to the following:

The Church of England has effectively accepted defeat over gay marriage signalling that it will no longer fight against a change in the law.

The 3,000-member NorthWood Church of Keller, T.X. is holding a "Global Faith Forum" in November. In yet another Islamist-attended interfaith event, Christians will hear from a former Saudi intelligence chief, a former director-general of Al-Jazeera, officials from U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities and the non-Muslims who embrace them.
Can you explain God's reasoning behind Leviticus 19:19?
Blessings in The One who saved us. Your question was forwarded to me from The USA.
We have explained this multiple times already - for instance on our recorded teachings of 'parasoxousin' (Greek text) in 2 Peter chapt. 2 and elsewhere. The Torah/ Law of Moses is the Old Testament shadow of the substance found in Christ revealed in The New Testament. Parasoxousin mean to put truth next to error to camouflage the error; all cults, false teachers, false prophets, and false religions have elements of truth they sow next to error. God hates mixture.Â

Since processing this article I have discovered that here in Brisbane, Nexus Church (alias Northside Christian Church (AoG), former senior pastor John Lewis, currently pastored by Murray and Jane Averill - http://nexuschurch.com.au/about-us/senior-pastors ) is an associate Church using Johnson's 'bible college' modules "“ (http://nexuschurch.com.au/encounter-ministry-training/1st-year-modules ), which only goes to show how rapidly and far error spreads. I find this particularly disappointing as the father of Murray, the late Lloyd Averill (1913-2010) lectured me in Bible College (1957-1959) and John Lewis was a good friend. How alert we must be in these days of deception and departure:

I am really hoping to make this the last of this type of article for awhile. Some people think I "love" putting out this stuff. But I honestly wish it would all go away, so we could get on with the 'real' work of building the kingdom.
