For almost a year now, I have been corresponding with Rabbi Shali Bat Yehudit and have been extremely blessed by this precious woman. I am a Pentecostal minister and am currently pastoring a church in Bessemer City, NC and have been there for 25 years.
A spokesman for Carmen Welker has posted the following list of comments in reaction to our assertion that their implausible claim that Paul the Apostle did not speak Greek well and that since there is no manuscript evidence for Aramaic originals, their contentions are blatantly absurd.
Carmen Welker, who calls herself "Rabbi Shali Bat Yehudit", the front woman for a group calling itself "Refining Fire" which denies one God in three Persons (the Person-hood of the Holy Spirit) and promotes mandatory Orthodox Jewish Religious observance for Christians, has again demonstrated the outlandish ignorance to which she subscribes with claims that are beyond buffoonery.
Welker takes exception to the term "Trinity", challenging that it should be found in Scripture. In actual fact, Moriel never used the term "Trinity" but rather "one God in three Persons", which can certainly be found in Scripture. It has remained the overwhelmingly predominant belief of Christians since the time of Jesus and the Apostles, including all non-Ebionite Jewish believers in Yeshua.
A Heretical Group Based on the Spriit of Error, Ignorance, Charlatanism & a Most Absurd Stupidity
By Jacob Prasch
Moriel has warned of various hyper-Messianic type groups with heretical Christologies (including Neo- Ebionism) and legalism placing even non-Jews under a Mosaic law that is fulfilled in Christ and no longer even biblically operative since 70AD. This is not, of course, to negate the freedom in Christ for believing Jews to maintain cultural observances electively nor does it negate the importance of all believers comprehending the Hebraic origins of biblical Christianity and of both Testaments, nor of being aware of the prophetic purposes of God for Israel and the Jews and of the serious error of replacement theology.
(Please correct us if we are mistaken)
Moriel and Jacob Prasch indeed urge serious prayer, fasting, and intercession for Israel & The Jews at this perilous time as the return of Christ draws closer and the advent of the Antichrist draws closer still. What we oppose, however, are immorality, heresy, and lunacy and the Last Days deception these things too often engender. Such madness serves the interest of neither Israel or the church.
God IN Everything?

"A little leaven leaventh the whole lump."
- Galatians 5:9
The Shack is being described as a "Christian" novel and is currently ranked number one on the New York Times bestseller list for paperback fiction. Many believers are buying multiple copies and giving them to friends and family. The Shack reads as a true story, but is obviously allegorical fiction. The book conveys postmodern spiritual ideas and teachings that challenge biblical Christianity "“ all in the name of "God" and "Jesus" and the "Holy Spirit." Author William P. Young's alternative presentation of traditional Christianity has both inspired and outraged his many readers. All the while his book continues to fly off the shelves of local bookstores.

President Muammar Gaddafi whose public statements have had the potential of worsening the delicate Muslim-Christian relations in Africa was on Monday elected chairman of the African Union (AU).
The Libyan leader replaces Tanzania's Jakaya Kikwete in the one-year-term position that is held on a rotational basis by a head of state from Africa's four regions. His pet subject is greater African unity.

How has the position of women in the church gone from the virtuous Victorian doormat to the liberated female suffragette? Has the church simply followed the secular spirit of this age? Where is the scriptural balance?

On May 19th, Benny Hinn came to Philadelphia's Spectrum - seating capacity of 19,000 - to put on a crusade. Jackie Alnor alerted me, and we decided to go if she was successful in procuring press clearance. She was.
The meetings opened with singing. We were disturbed that we knew and loved almost every song sung, yet it was plain that the One we sing to in our own services was not present corporately, though He went with us - for of course He never leaves the hearts of His people. And if He was so conspicuously absent from among the congregation, to whom were they singing?
