For publication in the Adelaide Advertiser. Thanks heaps.
I've noticed there have been a lot of articles of late concerning the West's condemnation of Israeli policy, especially policies that supposedly interfere with the current Peace Talks. And as President Obama and his administration has recently been most verbal of this kind of criticism, I believe there is a real danger of Prime Minister Rudd following suit, as there seems to be a sad and sorry history of Australian politicians playing "follow the leader" when it comes to American policies, especially Foreign Policy, the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan Wars would be fair examples to drive home this particular point.

A Muslim-rights group designated by the Justice Department as a terrorist co-conspirator celebrated its role in the cancelation of evangelist Franklin Graham's appearance at a National Day of Prayer event at the Pentagon.
Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, said his invitation to be honorary chairman at the May 6 Pentagon service was revoked after Muslim members of the military complained about his description of Islam after the 2001 terrorist attacks as "a very evil and wicked religion."
Graham explained his 2001 remarks in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece, saying he didn't believe Muslims were evil because of their faith but, as a minister, he thought it was his "responsibility to speak out against the terrible deeds that are committed as a result of Islamic teaching."

WASHINGTON - Minneapolis attorney Sam Kaplan had been on the job as U.S. ambassador to Morocco less than six months when the government there expelled a group of Christian aid workers accused of proselytizing in foreign-run orphanages.
"Jarring is the word," said Kaplan, recounting the episode in March that has put him at the center of a brewing international controversy. "When they chose to expel 50 Americans at one time, it was a jarring ... experience."

Islamic "militants" murdered a pastor recently in Somalia and burned a Christian man nearly to death in Pakistan. Pastor Modabe Abdi was shot to death on March 15 in Somalia, after he was tracked down by an Islamic group called al Shabaab. He had escaped a kidnapping attempt less than two weeks earlier. The Muslims refused to allow Abdi's body to be buried, ordering that it be left to the dogs (Voice of the Martyrs, March 24, 2010). In Pakistan, Muslim "extremists" set 38-year-old Arshed Masih on fire for refusing to convert to Islam. His wife was raped and the couple's three children were forced to watch their parent's brutalization (AsiaNews.it, March 22, 2010). Arshed is in intensive care with burns over 80% of his body and is not expected to live. The terrorist act occurred in front of a police station not far from Pakistan's capital city.

JERUSALEM "“ The Obama administration has encouraged "resistance" by Palestinians to protest Israel's presence in eastern Jerusalem, a senior Palestinian Authority official claimed to WND.
The senior PA official, speaking from Ramallah on condition of anonymity, said that in recent meetings with U.S. envoys to the region, the American diplomats supported and encouraged the concept of Palestinian protests to pressure Israel into evacuating eastern sections of Jerusalem.

I have been to the Lubianka Subway Station in Moscow just outside of the imposing FSB (former KGB) Headquarters and surrounding government buildings. The place Muslims terrorists struck today killing dozens of people would be the equivalent of putting two bombs outside of the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C.

I have been following for some time the remarkable journey of Mosab Hassan Yousef, about whom I wrote here last year. Yousef, the son of a Hamas leader, renounced not just terrorist violence but his family and his faith to become a Christian and move to California. Since apostasy from Islam carries a death penalty, this in itself was an act of extreme courage. The Telegraph ran an interview with him which set out starkly the extreme risk he was running, along with the principled reasons for his actions:
I thought he said during his campaign that he was a christian?

Muslims who want to become an imam in the U.S. can now train at an institution founded in the 18th century by members of the Congregationalist denomination to prepare pastors and other Christian ministers for service.
