The Council of Christians and Jews has been committed to Jewish Christian dialogue for 70 years. The Council is fully aware of the wide range of feelings on the issues influencing our relationship with each other.
We are conscious that The Revd Stephen Sizer's contributions have caused widespread disquiet and hurt in both communities and led to confusion and polarization of views. We have paid particular attention to a link posted by Mr Sizer on his Facebook page to "˜The Ugly Truth', an antisemitic website. We consider this to be wholly unacceptable. We cannot accept it was an accident, because Mr Sizer was alerted to the antisemitic nature of the website in November and again in December, but only removed the link in January when contacted by the Jewish Chronicle.
The Rt. Revd Nigel McCulloch, the Bishop of Manchester and Chairman of CCJ said:
"The content and the delay in removing the link from Mr Sizer's Facebook page was disgraceful and unbecoming for a clergyman of the Church of England to promote. Members of the CCJ have described the website as "˜obscenely antisemitic.' "
The Revd David Gifford, CEO of the Council of Christians and Jews said:
"The Revd Stephen Sizer is fully entitled to his views on the Israel/Palestine conflict but he has to be aware that criticism of Israel is one thing while publicizing websites with antisemitic content goes beyond what is tolerable.
CCJ has expressed grave concern to the Bishop of Guildford in whose diocese Mr Sizer is a priest "“ and has drawn the attention of the Surrey police to what they claim was an action tantamount to encouraging race "˜hatred'."

As Christ at Checkpoint hypocrites diddle and lie, persecution of Middle East Christians by Islam escalates.
At the Christ at the Checkpoint conference in Bethlehem, anti-Israel figure Colin Chapman refused to answer a question about the plight of persecuted Christians in surrounding Islamic countries because "he knows where such questions come from", preferring instead to blame Israel for the existence of Islamic terror groups while in fact Israel is the only country in the region protecting the human rights and religious freedom of Christians. Below is today's report from Barnabas Fund concerning Iran:
A common sense response to the ridiculous charade of Christ at the Checkpoint and the long litany of lies from the liars addressing it.  James Jacob Prasch

Arabs love to gripe about Israel, but it is the best thing that has ever happened for them in the Middle East.
Our Lobby Group here in Leeds in the U.K., is made up of Christians and Jews who are working to redress the negative and biased press aimed at Israel and the Jewish people. Currently, we are focussing on negativity coming from particular sections and personalities of the Christian Church. The Rev. Stephen Sizer has come under the spotlight for his anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist activities and he is a key player in the organising of the planned conference, 'Christ at the Checkpoint' to be held in Bethlehem next month. One of the members of the Leeds Lobby Network has spent many hours putting together information about the activities of the Rev. Stephen Sizer, which we include with this email, and urge you and Friends of Israel to evaluate. We also ask you and Friends of Israel to write to the Archbishop of Canterbury, (address: Lambeth Palace, London SE1 7JU) if, like us, you feel concerned about the activities of this particular clergyman.
God bless you in your stand for Israel.
Leaders of the UMJC and MJAA joined forces again this month (see "UMJC, MJAA respond to Messer video) to issue a statement on a matter of deep concern for the Messianic Jewish community. The statement, on the "Christ at the Checkpoint" conference scheduled for March 5-9 in Bethlehem, included leaders of the International Messianic Jewish Alliance and the International Association of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues. The first "Christ at the Checkpoint" conference, held in 2010, drew much criticism for its biased treatment of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and promotion for this year's event raises the same concerns (see  www.christatthecheckpoint.com.) Here is the joint statement in full (or you can hear it read at http://youtu.be/Mk0GPnPqtj0):

Having watched his videos I find it impossible to regard Ted Pike as anything other than a demonically influenced anti Semite.
As an evangelist to the Jews I have denounced talmudic Judaism, pointed to the Time of Jacob's Trouble and antichrist deception coming on modern Israel, warned Cabala is demonic occult gnosticism, and lamented the unbelief of God's ancient people. But I have done this with the burden of Christ for their salvation knowing God's love for them and for Abraham's other lost children the Arabs.

Our family visit to Israel coincided with Hanukka, the eight day 'festival of lights' celebrated by Jewish people. So for the first time ever, we celebrated Hanukka. We knew nothing about Hanukka, but in John's gospel we see the Lord Jesus, the Light of the World, in Jerusalem at the time of the festival, and the history is fascinating.
This is the future capital of the world, but right now it's full of holy hypocrites.

In Jerusalem this week, an Arab taxi driver wanted to take us to Bethlehem. We refused. He was even more surprised that, not only would we never go there, but we don't celebrate the pagan festival called "Christmas" , which might as well be called "Christless." We were also surprised to find that the Lord wasn't really a Jew, as we had always supposed.....
My name is Aron Adler.
I am 25 years old, was born in Brooklyn NY, and raised in Efrat Israel. Though very busy, I don't view my life as unusual. Most of the time, I am just another Israeli citizen. During the day I work as a paramedic in Magen David Adom, Israel's national EMS service. At night, I'm in my first year of law school. I got married this October and am starting a new chapter of life together with my wonderful wife Shulamit.
