Dear believers in grace,
We wish you all a blessed New Year in the Saviour of the world!
Teaching at an Elementary School
The first week and a half of December we went to another province to help teach at a Christian school. Most of the parents and students are not Christians so it was a good opportunity to share the gospel. I taught English to 1st-5th graders. The 4th and 5th graders were pretty good, but it was challenging to teach the 1st-3rd graders. There are few foreigners in that province so the children enjoyed seeing a foreigner and I got to hand out many tracts and also share Bible lessons at the flag pole and at chapel one day. Micah got to join the nursery school for 3 days until he got some kind of a stomach bug. He enjoyed learning very much and according to Khae was the most enthusiastic student in the class.
We came back to Chiang Mai in time to have a Christmas worship service at the Women’s Prison. We’re still teaching them from the book of Revelation. The massage class there is also going well—still a big group of about 80 students.
We had a Christmas party for our students and invited their parents also. I also invited my adult students. About 20 people came. We sang some Christmas songs and then Khae shared the gospel through the Christmas story and we gave everyone either a gospel of John in the Shan language or some Thai gospel books. Here are a couple of pictures from that.
John’s Signature Words
A couple months ago Khae read a book by a Thai Lutheran pastor who (following in Martin Luther’s footsteps) doubted that John wrote the book of Revelation or if it even should be in our Bible. I did a very interesting word study on this comparing the gospel of John, I-III John, and the book of Revelation. I think the results are beyond any coincidence. The book of Revelation not only has the “fingerprints” of John all over it, but the author also has such a rich knowledge of the Old Testament woven into the book (by divine inspiration)-- it is unmistakably God breathed. I’m attaching a short paper on that here.
Peace in Christ, Scott, Khae, and Micahberekiah.
CHILDREN'S DENTAL MISSION
Moriel Children's Dental Mission in Olongapo is now underway. 49 kids and 11 more are coming. We took the severe tooth ache cases and gum disease cases first. None of these kids ever saw a dentist and the smaller ones didn't know what a dentist is. Some of the little ones didn't have a clue what was going on.
We interviewed a few dentists to get the right people and facilities we needed. It is fantastic. Just as good with God's help as the Pediatric Medical Mission we did, this time it is teeth, and lots of them!
We did tons of x rays. It will have been quite a project for us when it is completed. This will be followed by classes in oral hygiene by a pedantic hygienist.
DENGUEY FEVER - THE BATTLE CONTINUES
This year, as soon as the monsoon rains stop, we are going to war against Dengue fever. We are going to smoke the mosquitoes out of existence before they infect any more of our kids.
The Tegelo translation work of scripture teaching and the pastor training by Brother Hope continues. Filipinos are good at evangelism (although Moriel does evangelize in The Philippines). The spiritual need is discipleship teaching and scripturally qualified pastors.
As you can see from the photos, we are needing a bigger mini bus to transport more kids which we are working on obtaining (we have about 100 children now, all rescued from the garbage dump where they scavenged to survive with predictably rotten teeth and ultra high Dengue fever risk).
To hear these kids sing hymns and say their prayers is absolutely magnificent. The Lord is indeed gracious both to them and to us!
Please pray for Paul Seville and his mission team in Olongapo/ Subic Bay, and the ministry of Brother Hope.
Please also pray that The Lord provides a new larger vehicle for transporting the children. We are only asking the Lord for the money and not soliciting our readers. We have the Dental Mission nearly funded already by God's goodness. We are however in desperate need of a larger and more reliable transport vehicle for the kids.

Moriel Missions Policy
Moriel can make needs known (the main one being prayer), and as The Lord leads receive contributions by those so led of the Lord to contribute. Except in very occasional cases of a major disaster however (eg. Earthquakes), Moriel does not, per se, 'fundraise' for its projects. We do however actively and aggressively seek prayer.
Dental Mission Aug2016
Grace and peace be multiply unto you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Last month we brought our young children at Iba Zambales to attend the Young Peoples Fellowship.
We needed to rent a Van because the small Jeep coulden't accommodate these growing children. Kyla, Kintara, and Shane are first timer in attending the Fellowship.
Going home with joy and learned additional experience are appreciated blessings. Recently, we have conducted again the Moriel Give a Gift School bags and school supplies to complete the school needs of the dump children.
The children were so happy and their parents were glad and thankful. This encourage them to let their children come to School.
Moriel gifts are really a big help for them, it lessens the expenses of their family.
Thank you very much and to all our supporters for all the blessings.
We appreciate very much your generous heart.
May our Gracious God continue to bless you and the ministry.
Sincerely in Christ,

I`m happy to report to all of you that the Lord is moving in Baja and is using this wonderful couple Alfredo and Leticia Zepeda. This past Monday we delivered some food and study supplies to their home were they hold a weekly home bible study, this couple is very evangelistic oriented they have expressed to me that they have the desire to go were the Lord leads them and have abandoned all intentions to comeback to the States. Bro. Alfredo has expressed to me in the last 5 months the intentions of starting a church in the barrio of Otay on the east end of Tijuana on the way to Tecate and Mexicali. There are many challenges ahead but the Lord has shown his faithfulness they are currently attending a pentecostal church nearby but have also raised many questions about the theology of that particular church but nonetheless continue not to be a disruption but to wait on the Lord for their next step. This plan of starting a church has been a vision for Bro.Alfredo for the last year. Pastor Marco has been supportive in asst.me in prayer and making sure if Bro. Alfredo is serious about what the Lord wants for his life.
