|The Royle Family|
Lyn and I have just come back from a month in the UK where we shared at different churches up and down the country. It was also an opportunity to spend time together, rest and recharge our batteries. As ever we are thankful for the hard work put in by Dena in arranging venue and for the invites from various churches who gave us great hospitality. It was also a time where we could catch up with family. Lyn had not seen her dad for a year and even though his Dementia is evident he was in good spirits, put on weight and in a happy mood. It was also good to spend time with Anthony, his wife Liz and our grand son Levi and also seeing their preparations for the new child in January. Aaron and his fiancà ©e Erin are also busy preparing for their wedding on March 28th 09. We had a blessed time with them at Conwy and sharing at Ainsdale Evangelical Church where they worship. But at last we had to come home, time travels so quick when you're having fun.
This has been a very busy and exciting few months with so much good news happening. First of all though my time in the UK and Australia was really blessed and I would like to thank Reddish Christian Fellowship Manchester, Church of the Redeemer Swansea and Normandy and Tongham Christian fellowship for their hospitality and support during this time. I would also like to thank Aunty Marg and all the Australian churches who hosted me during my stay. I was also able to spend a substantial amount of time with my two sons living in the UK and of course our grandson Levi who get bigger every time I see him. Good news, Ant and Liz are expecting child number two.
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus our Messiah and Savior.
We have all had a very busy and exciting month with me going to the UK on itinerary and also receiving friends from Pittsburgh USA. I will tell you more about this later.
As usual if you want to see pictures of the ministry associated with this newsletter than please visit our googlepage at http://Morielmissionscollege.googlepages.com/
Greetings in Jesus name.
The last month or so have been quite busy and there's lots of news to catch up on. But first of all thank you for your ongoing support. We cannot reach out with the Gospel without your prayer and financial support and we do not take them for granted.
Happy New Year!
Please pray for Paulinas operation. The surgeon has been booked, costs drawn up and the money raised by generous Moriel supporters. The hiccup lies with the child welfare department who seem to run on Africa time. It is almost 5 month since the request for permission for the operation to take place was submitted and yet even though we have constantly asked they have not sent the letter despite promises to do so. So please pray for a speedy outcome to this situation.
Last News Of The Year!!
The Moriel office will be closed from 5:00pm Friday the 14th December and re-open Monday the 14th January 2008. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year for 2008 and for those who observe Christmas a happy holiday. We would also like to thank those who have supported Moriel over the last 12 months in prayer and in their practical giving. May Yeshua bless you.
One of the scriptures that really encourages me in my faith comes from Romans 8:14 " “
'For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out Abba Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God and if children heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him in order that we also be glorified with Him"
Adoption is a word peculiar to Paul by which he describes the position of the believer who has become born again by being purchased through the blood of Christ. We were once orphans due to our estrangement from our heavenly Father caused by our sinful nature. In fact all humanity and nature itself is subjected to futility but thanks to God He sent his son, not only to save us from our sin but also to lavish upon us the greatest privilege of all, to become sons of God and co-heirs with non other but our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Its good to be back in South Africa after our break to the UK and to be able to send you this small update before our November Newsletter. Although my local work will be limited till the end of the year our college and international missions are our focus for the next few months and we are busy following up on emails and letters sent to us before our break.
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First of all, we apologies for being out of touch for a while. As some of you know, I was due to tour the USA when I got news that my dad was not expected to live, due to a mass found in his bowel; and also my gran was about to go to be with the Lord. This meant that instead of going on the 12th July, I was to be in the UK and then the USA from the 19th of June, shortly after getting home from my Australia tour. We thank the Lord that after an 8 hour operation to remove the tumor and resection his bowel my dad is now well on the way to a full recovery. My gran did pass on and it was an honor to take her funeral although difficult to sum up a life that spanned 100 years.
