Greetings in Jesus name.
The Apostle Paul tells us that his life and ministry were fraught with perils, in fact from 2Cor 11:21-29, it show's us the life he led was not a comfortable one with dangers from all angles, even from his own countryman.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Yeshua the Messiah.
First of all with the lines being down and being away I have misplaced some of your emails especially those who don"t want to receive the newsletter. Please forgive me if that is you and yet you receive this email. Could you just return it again with a note saying take me off the list. Thank you and God Bless.
An African Parable
Victoria isn"t the smallest of ladies, so when I saw her leap three feet into the air and six feet back I new there had to be a good reason and a powerful incentive for her to do so. And there it was, inside the cleaning cupboard under the sink, the biggest Rat in South Africa. Its been a real month for rats and mosquitoes, but this one was awesome.
Moriel would like to wish you a great New Year. May the Lord Bless and Guide you. 2007 promises to be a crucial year at Ebyown Children"s Village. Our first purpose built unit for children containing 4 bedroom, lounge/diner and bathroom is almost complete thanks to the hard work of all concerned. This will lead to our health inspection and then registration inspection three weeks later. It is hoped that March will see a new influx of children.
Greetings in Jesus name. It certainly has been a very busy few months and we are looking forward to a couple of weeks break at the end of the year. This is South Africa's summer and so we are experiencing hot days and some spectacular thunder storms.
When Psalm 68:5-6 says that "God sets the lonely in families" the Hebrew word used for families is Beyith, it not only speaks of the obvious family group but also extended family, clan and in some cases even the temple of God. Ebyown has continued to grow with this foundational principle in mind and our extended family now spans the globe.
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus.
Thank you once again for your love and support during a very busy time, we are so grateful for the encouragement and love we receive and we thank the Lord for you all.
June was another busy month with plenty happening on the ministry front. First of all thank you for all your prayers for the children"s illnesses. It was an awesome time with all nine kids visiting sister jenny at the clinic with gastric. Thank the Lord for the gift of nappies a supporter sent, they were a gift in perfect timing.
Greetings in the name above all names, Jesus our Messiah. I personally enjoy receiving letters. Well most letters, certainly not those coloured Red and not those from misguided souls who don"t actually like Moriel. Even in Moriel we do like to be loved. But some are good for your soul and give us a true perspective to what really counts.
Thank you for your prayers during April; it"s been a difficult yet exciting month for us all with the children having a variety of illnesses and having to be away unexpectedly in Australia.
On the 5 th I flew to Australia to attend the funeral of our co-administrator Ross Godwin. I think funeral is the wrong word for this meeting of family and friends as it was something special. Ross knew Jesus was going to call him home and was at perfect peace with that fact. The time he had at the end was spent with his wife Marg and family but also planning the service. It contained his favourite hymns, stories, pictures, memories and the instruction to the Pilgrim fellowship elders John Kidd and Michael Shafton to preach an uncompromising Gospel message so that all his unsaved family and friends could have the opportunity of spending eternity with him and with Jesus. What took place could hardly be called a funeral but a celebration of a life well lived by those who loved him. It"s a great comfort to know that from Ross"s perspective, his entering the Lords presence would only shortly proceed those who love the Lord as Heaven is outside of Space and Time. From our perspective we will have to Pilgrim a little longer before we are united with our Lord.
