Baha’i & YWAM's "Indigenous People's Movement" (IPM)

Comparison Chart

by Sandy Simpson, 3/6/08

This chart should be of grave interest to those in YWAM and those supporting YWAM and its agenda with the IPM or "First Nations" movement led by people like Daniel Kikawa (Perpetuated In Righteousness), Don Richardson (Eternity in Their Hearts:Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds of Cultures Throughout the World), John Dawson (Taking Our Cities for God: How to Break Spiritual Strongholds), Richard Twiss (One Church, Many Tribes : Following Jesus the Way God Made You), Terry LeBlanc (Creating Christian Indians: Native Clergy in the Presbyterian Church) and many others.  You will notice a very close comparison in this chart between false religion and so-called "Christian" leaders.  Please read what YWAM, The Emerging Chuch, the WCGP and others are teaching that are almost exactly what the Baha'i teach.

Often, when Christian students hear the name "Allah", they think that the word is referring to the God of Islam, but not to the God of Christianity. We must remember that the Arabic-speaking Christians, before the coming of Mohammed, referred to God as "Allah". In this day and age, the Arabic translation of the Bible, used by Christian Arabs, also uses the word, "Allah".  http://www.sfu.ca/~cabs/Kerns/1-Unity.doc

The word Allah is in my Arabic Bible. I was taught in Christian Sunday
School in Egypt to call God Allah. All Arab Christians called God Allah hundreds of years before Muhammad was born and they still call God Allah. Allah is not the name for the deity of Islam, it is simply the Arabic word for God. (Samy Tanagao, former YWAMer, email, 11/24/07)

"I think this is true when we go into other cultures and we talk to people that are especially from other religions and they feel like, well they have to put on. Muslims, for instance, that you have to sit on a chair in church or sit on a pew. Well, that's offensive to a Muslim because they never sit in the presence of God in Mosques."(Danny Lehmann, Director of YWAM Honolulu, Word to the World, KLHT, 2001, show #542)

God creates all religions. http://www.sfu.ca/~cabs/Kerns/1-Unity.doc

"The Christ has no religious barriers in His consciousness. It matters not to Him of what faith a man may call himself." -Alice Bailey & Djwhal Khul*

"And yet all brings glory to God in its own special way, and that's true of human beings and cultures as well." (Terry LeBlanc of World Vision and teh WCGIP, Word To The World, show #542)

"I happen to know people who are followers of Christ in other religions." ... "The church is bigger than any organization in the world. Then you add in Muslims, you add in Hindus, you add in all the different religions, and you use those houses of worship as distribution centers, not just for spiritual care but health care." (Rick Warren (part of the Emerging Church movement) cited in "In the Name Of Purpose - Sacrificing Truth On The Altar Of Unity" by Tamara Hartzell, 8/06)

"Messianic Muslims, who continue to read the Koran, visit the mosque and say their daily prayers but accept Christ as their Savior, are the products of the strategy which is being tried in several countries." A YWAM staff writer wrote: "They continue a life of following the Islamic requirements, including mosque attendance, fasting and Koranic reading, besides getting together as a fellowship of Muslims who acknowledge Christ as the source of God's mercy for them... YWAM is also adopting this approach in India, where a team is working with a Hindu holy man." (YWAM in Foundation, May/June 2000, p. 39)

The source of all religions is one. Truth is One. God is One. http://www.sfu.ca/~cabs/

"It may be advisable in many (not all!) circumstances to help people become followers of Jesus and remain within their Buddhist, Hindu, or Jewish contexts,". "Is our religion the only one that understands the true meaning of life? Or does God place his truth in others too? ... The gospel is not our gospel, but the gospel of the kingdom of God, and what belongs to the kingdom of God cannot be hijacked by Christianity" (p. 194). (Brian McLaren, An Emergent Manifesto, Baker Books, referenced http://simplyagape.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_
archive.html)
In Africa, there is a common characteristic of all Traditional African Religions. They all refer to a single, Over-Powerful, Most Great God. ... This ... indicates that before these languages became separate, even before the time of Christ, a belief in one God existed and had become a major influence in African thinking and life.

"I love all religions. ... If people become better Hindus, better Muslims, better Buddhists by our acts of love, then there is something else growing there." She upheld that there are many ways to God': "All is God--Buddists, Hindus, Christians, etc., all have access to the same God." (Robert Schuller, 12/4/89 Time, pp. 11, 13, http://www.letusreason.org/Current34.htm)

God is doing something in the earth today he is literally joining the anointing of nations this nation has anointing and that one ... (Dutch Sheets National School Of The Prophets Mobilizing The Prophetic Office May 12 2:30 2002)

God created all people in his own image (Genesis 1:27) and so he did not make a mistake when he created each of the ethnic peoples of the world as a unique part of his image. Each of the ethnic groups has a particular part of God's character and the WCGIP encourages all of the indigenous groups to present their unique identity to those present. Please come and partake of God's indigenous spectrum. (Monte Ohia, WCGIP Co-Founder, Day 1, The 6th World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People, http://iquadrant.biz/wcgip/resources/index.cfm?
Handler=View&ID=9)
