Hmm! Mormonism? (Sounds Shaky!)
Mormon prophet, Joseph Smith, preached that
the MOON was inhabited by people about six feet tall, who dressed like
Quakers and lived about 1,000 years. (The Young Woman's Journal, 1892,
Vol.3, pp.263-264 and Journal of Oliver B. Huntington, Vol.3, p.166,
typed copy at Utah State Historical Society). Since he was wrong about
the moon, who can trust Joseph Smith prophesied, "...I prophesy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted, and there will not be so much as a potsherd left ..." (History of the Church, Vol. 2, p. 182. The date was Feb., 1835.) Was he a true or false prophet? Joseph Smith said on February 14, 1835, "...
go forth to prune the vineyard for the last time, or the coming of
the lord, which was nigh even fifty-six years should wind up the scene" (History
of the Church, Vol. 2, p. 182). "On the 14th of Feb. 1835, Joseph
Smith uaid [said] that God had revealed to him that the coming of Christ
would be within 56 years, which added to 1835 shows that before 1891
and the 14th of Feb. the Savior of the world would make his appearance
again upon the earth The BOOK OF MORMON has false prophecy. "And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will the Lord bless; and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded..." (2 Nephi 3:14). Smith's enemies were not confounded as they successfully killed him on June 27, 1844 in Carthage, Illinois. Will you take a test Brigham Young recommended? Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test! (Journal of Discourses, Vol.16, p.46, Brigham Young, May 18, 1873). That is good advice! Why did the Nauvoo House not stand forever and ever? (Doc. & Cov. 124:56-60). For prophetic problems, see Deut. 13:1-5; 18:20-22; Jer. 23:16; 27:15; Zech 13:2-5. Brigham Young as an LDS PROPHET taught that
ADAM IS GOD. "I tell you, when you see your Father in heaven,
you will see Adam" (Manuscript Addresses of Brigham Young, Oct.
8, 1854). "When our father Adam came into the Garden of Eden...
He is MICHAEL, the archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS... HE is our FATHER
and our GOD, and the Only God with whom we have Why was BYU named after a white supremacist hero? Brigham claimed to have God's inspiration, "I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the children of men, that they may not call Scripture" (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 13, p. 95). What an egotistical, racist bigot, saying, "You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly without the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind...the Lord put a mark on him, which is the flat nose and black skin." (ibid, Vol. 7, pp. 290-291). If MORONI devoutly practiced the Mormon Gospel, why is he an angel and not a god? (Doc. & Cov. 132:17,37). Why does Mormonism emphasize part of the WORD OF WISDOM and ignore the forbidding of eating meat except in winter, cold or famine? (Doc. & Cov. 89:12,13). How can anyone who is not a descendant of Aaron hold the AARONIC Priesthood? (Num. 16:40; Heb. 7:13,14). Baptism for the dead is vanity since there are no second chances after death. Alma 34:31; 2 Nephi 9:38; Mosiah 26:25-27. Truth! - Judgment follows death. (Heb. 9:27). If the Book of Mormon is true, why do Indians
fail to turn white when they become Mormons? (2 Nephi 30:6 before 1981
change). Missionaries claim the Book of Mormon changes never effect
doctrine. Wrong! There are many key changes include the hiding of Jesus'
deity: "Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the
Son of God..." 1 Nephi 11:18 / The 1830 ed. reads, "Behold,
the virgin which thou seest, is the mother of God..." (p. 25).
Jesus is God in the Book of Mormon (Mosiah 13:34-35; 15:1-5) and the
Bible (John 20:28-29).
