Prayer Requests

Moriel & Jacob Prasch request prayer for Brother Scot Blanchard, an American believer in London with two very young daughters and a wife. Scot and his physicians had been victorious by the Lord's grace in a battle against tumerous lung cancer that had metastasized secondary growths in his arm. Recently, due to severe migraines, Scot was MRI scanned and a very large tumor was found in his brain. It is at this point still unknown if it is malignant or benign or if it is a secondary growth from metastasized activity by the earlier pulmonary cancer. Due to the size and location of the growth, while operable, surgery would be problematic in its ramifications. Scot is a committed believer and a friend of Moriel. His desire is to remain here for the sake of his young family. It is our prayer that The Lord will intervene for healing in this situation, and give wisdom and guidance to his physicians,  and peace to Scot and his family.

Imogen -  Imogen is a 13 year old girl who lies in a coma after attempting to take her own life.  She is a born again, baptised believer and The Lord alone knows what brought this lovely young girl to this action.  The family have just been told that she has suffered extensive brain damage and would be in a vegetative state if she survives.  It is unknown if her vital organs will be able to function, but they have been told that she will be able to breathe unaided so if and when the machine is switched off it will not end her life.

It will take a miracle to bring Imogen back to full health although our God is a God of miracles!  The family are meeting with consultants again tomorrow when it is likely that they’ll decide to move her to a children's hospice where she would be removed from life support and left in God’s hands.

Prayer is requested for Gods will to be done for Imogen and that the family will be supported and sustained in Gods loving care.  That if He chooses to take her now her passing will be peaceful and that the family will be a witness to all nursing and care staff around of God’s ever present strength and comfort in these times of trouble.

Eli Prasch - Please pray for Eli (Jacob's son) in a combat
unit of the Israeli army.

Pastor John Phillips - We have a young man in the Church we pastor, who has for almost a year been suffering a mental breakdown he desperately needs to be delivered from that terrible darkness and we would value prayer.

Our daughter has been suffering for 2 years now having been the victim of an injury leaving her in great pain and dependant on large doses of medication she needs a healing touch….we would value prayer for her also.

Pastor T George's & Wife - Please do pray for our brother Pastor T. George and his wife in India. Pastor T. George's wife has been undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy for very serious cancer.

Brenda Wardle-Millar - Brenda Wardle-Millar had a heart attack on the 28th of June. She is now at the Derby Royal Infirmary recovering. Still not out of the danger zone yet.

Christian Leaders On Trial In Uzbekistan - Pastor Salavat Serikbaev, who was arrested on charges of “incitement to religious hatred”, “running an illegal religious organisation” and “distributing materials promoting religious extremism”, in Uzbekistan, is currently at home with his family. The date of his trial has been set for 2nd May.

Prayers have been answered for David Shestakov, who has heard back from the Court of Appeal that the date of his appeal has been set for today, 1st May. There had been fears that the Court of Appeal would ignore the appeal.

Please pray for these two Christian leaders as they have their trials today and tomorrow. Thank the Lord that David’s appeal is to be heard at last. Pray that his conviction being overturned. Pray that Salavat will be found not guilty and that this will set a precedent for the treatment of other Christian leaders in Uzbekistan.

Laura - Nigeria - was just on the phone from Nigeria. (Sunday 3/11/07) She was telling me that an escalation of attacks and murders are being committed were she is. The house lady where she is staying was concerned about her young brother whom they tied to kidnap. Two people were gassed in a taxi, seven pastors went out a week ago on a mission and 100 people were saved. On their journey home 3 of them were martyred. Heads are being severed because an election is about to happen.

Pray for the safety of Laura and Grace. Pray for the safety of the missionaries. Pray for the families of the pastors who were murdered. Pray for their churches as tehe come to terms with the awful situaton. Pray that the Lords people will be encouraged and know his peace, protection and power.

Mike Oppenheimer's son, Micah - Micah has  been getting headaches for 6 months and had x-rays, CTscan, and finally went to an eye doctor. His eyesight is fine but he has swelling in the optic nerve (edema) behind it. Tomorrow he goes for another scan with dye so please pray that this is not serious and it can be solved easily or even better that the Lord would intervene and have it disappear.

Marg Godwin's Brother Peter - was rushed to Intensive Care for what was thought to be a stroke but in fact it was an aneurysm in the front of his brain. He underwent surgery (some seven hours) on Thursday night to seem the flow of blood in the brain. Praise the Lord it has been stopped but it is a moment by moment watch. 

Joseph Jones and his family - Joseph is a young boy in the English Midlands who is battling serious epilepsy. The current prognosis is that the focus is on reducing seizures, but his condition will likely impair memory and other abilities.

Joseph's parents Jeff & Yvonne are dedicated believers who help with Moriel's administratin in the West Midlands and Jeff leads a fellowship affiliated to Moriel in Walsall.

The stress is taking its toll on Joseph's mother particularly. Please pray that The Lord intervenes in this difficult situation.

Louise Morgan - Louise was suffering from breast cancer which was treated and operated on last year.

Louise is now in hospital after a tumour was found on her brain, Louise has undergone surgery and they were able to remove 90% of the tumour. Over the next 2 or 3 weeks the medical staff will decide on the best course of treatment for Louise.

Update: Louise died Sunday , Sept 2nd. Louise gave her life to the Lord a few weeks ago so we are glad for the assurance that she is now with the Lord and free from suffering. Please pray for Louise's parents Maldwyn and Ann and her sister Joanne.

Dr. David Corderoy - the Moriel area representative for Auckland, New Zealand.David has been diagnosed with probable cancer after discovery of an intestinal lesion and will undergo surgery quickly.

Please pray for David and his wife Sharon at this time. We thank The Lord for what is hopefully an early diagnosis and we are praying for a successful operation and speedy recovery. Your prayers are much appreciated.

Janna Hunt - This is Dave Hunt's daughter and she is battling cancer. She will be having to make a pivotal decision soon. Please remember Janna and her family.

Trust in the Lord and His protection

An attitude of responsibility towards the safety of the team, and our Muslim neighbours who are terrified by this threat, the landlord came to the Bible Society centre and demanded that we should close for a while!

Please pray for us. As I was praying and thinking the Scripture of 1 Peter3:10 came to mind. It is TEST TIME for our ministry in Gaza.
