As the law stands now, the IRS has the LEGAL RIGHT TO ATTACK any church that makes known the moral and ethical stand of a political candidate - and they wield this weapon of intimidation and fear to destroy the First Amendment freedoms exercised in conservative-minded places of worship!

Even worse, the IRS actually uses "coded words" to determine if a minister, pastor or priest has violated the political speech ban - "code words" such as "liberal," "conservative," "pro-life" or "pro-choice." It is no wonder why religious leaders are chilled away from, and frightened to address enormously important moral issues for fear of the IRS.

But this is not right. This is not how it should be in America. And we are committed to seeing the law rewritten.

Hearings on the bill have already begun before the Oversight Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee - now we must push for PASSAGE by the full House in this session of Congress, before the fall elections.

Thank you for your speech, which as a Judeo-Christian who loves Australia I
can only applaud.

The Age and Sydney Herald are biased rags to do more with slanted
propaganda than with journalism.

May God Bless You and Mr Howard, and after 200 Aussies coming home from
holiday in Bali in body bags and 200,000 Christians butchered in East Timor
- spitting distyance from Australia's northern shore, may God give your
government the sense and courage to face up to the intrinsic relationship
between terrorism, Islamic immigration, and asylum seeking.
