I know Jewish people are revolted by Jews who believe in Jesus so you can rest assured my mother is a Gentile, Roman Catholic. She doesn’t believe what I believe but I am not chalakikly Jewish. My wife and children, however, are. Now I grew up in the New York area and I was sent to both a Roman Catholic school and a Jewish Community Centre. I had been circumcised in infancy and I was “sprinkled” as a baby, which I no longer consider valid baptism (Baptism is originally a Jewish ritual deriving from the tevilah right called Mikveh Brit by the first believers in Jesus who were all Jewish ). Urgent Disaster Appeal For Prayer & Emergency Financial Assistance For Myanmar/Burma
The unspeakable disaster in Myanmar, one of the world's poorest countries, is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus as a witness and testimony to seriously afflicted people who are in spiritual darkness due to the demonic bondage of Buddhist superstition compounded by an oppressive regime.

Ebyown - Our new girl Siphiwi woke up with vomiting and wretching. This persisted most of the day and soon she was showing signs of dehydration and the apple smell on her breath was also indicating acidosis. We had to take her and admit her to hosptial. This is probably from a cold and congestion she has had recently, with no swallowing reflex it is hard to medicate apart from through the Gastronomy (PEG). Anyway keep praying and we will update you.
Update: Siphiwi is home 5/5 & recuperating.
Drew Lindsay from Dublin, who works in the YMCA for the homeless, he was badly beaten around the head on Saturday night by one of the inmates, sustaining a stable cervical injury, bruising to his head, and he can barely move and is in extreme pain. His face is very swollen, and his jaw is very painful when he talks or eats. The guy also bit Drew's ear and finger, so he has to be tested for a number of diseases. We would value your prayers.

Heartlines Review
A new project has been undertaken in South Africa. It is an initiative, which will use television, radio and print media to tell stories in order to get the nation of South Africa talking and thinking about values. The campaign is called ‘Heartlines’ and starts on 16 th July 2006. It will run for eight weeks and each week will show a film that highlights one of the eight values that it seeks to deal with. The eight values are ‘second chances, responsibility, forgiveness, perseverance, self-control, accepting difference, compassion and honesty’. This project is seeking to promote a conversation, based on these values, in order to bring out a transformation in South African society. Hence Heartlines is a ‘Values-Driven Transformation’. So what has this got to do with the Christian Church? Well as a matter of fact there are people who are stating that this is a Christian movement to ‘further the kingdom of God’. Read more
